Haunted Town

The fog is blanketing the ground,

but I am not afraid,

rain starts to fall gently,

as I wave to your silhouette,

there is something about you,

when you return,

it frightens me,

shakes my every being,

my soul fears for you,

in a million different ways,

something is coming,

I feel it in my bones,

when the fog clears,

all that is left of this town,

is a pile of death and destruction,

there are no survivors,

I waited for you that day,

when it rained lightly,

your eyes seemed empty,

as I called out to you,

is this place haunted?

we will never know,

everything is gone,

maybe it is better that way.
