Dark and Dreary
It was cold when the sun rose,
and even though it was morning,
it hid behind the clouds,
and did not come out again,
It’s a dark and dreary day,
the rain poured on,
and mist blanketed the ground,
everything was less and less visible,
It is now afternoon,
the sun is still in hiding,
it seems to want to seep through,
but can’t quite make it,
Dark wings appear,
and carry off all the negativity,
into the light,
so the clouds can finally break.
