Cloudy October

The clouds loom high overhead,
they grow with each movement,
and look darker each time,
as they slowly drift through the season,

The leaves are still falling off the branches,

slowly the trees become bare,

and it grows colder each day,

there’s something in the air,

One’s breath is seen,

in the still of night,

as the chill gets deeper,

on this October eve,

The stars glimmer with brightness,

even through the clouds,

can the moon be seen,

the mist covers the light gently,

On this cold cloud October day,

the leaves collect on the ground,

and spin about wildly,

as the wind picks up,

The trees seem to come alive,

as they sway back and forth,

it’s in October,

that the sky becomes cloudy.
